Does keto diet actually work?

Many experts say ketosis itself is not necessarily harmful. Some studies suggest that a ketogenic diet is safe for significantly overweight or obese people. However, other clinical reviews point out that patients on low-carbohydrate diets regain some of their lost weight within a year. True or no?

Well, I personally feel everything is all about moderation. I myself, tried keto diet with some moderation, and actually lose 15 kgs (33 lbs) within 1 month. And I am still maintaining the same weight since then (2 years ago).

How do I do it? Well I didn't join any club or special diet plan. I followed a strict diet based on higher protein and low carbs concept. When I mean low carbs, I still eat my favorite food aka carbs but really, very low quantity.

This concept really helps me with my sugar craving. If I crave chocolate, I will eat it, just a bite size, not a full chocolate bar (if that makes sense?).

My "high protein" diet includes really healthy protein like eggs and mostly white meat (omitting all the fat). At the same time, lots of nuts for healthy snacks and this actually helps with my craving.

How about the loose skin after dieting? Well, I totally agree there is a downside with dieting. How do we deal with loose skin? Loose skin after giving birth and losing weight?

Do you think is there other option beside plastic surgery? Yes I think so. Our skin is a living thing. This is all based on personal experience.

I am currently 48 years old with 3 kids. Loose skin after diet, after decade of storing the extra fat in my belly area. So hard to lose that but I did it.

Beside dieting, and toning exercise, I massage my body (especially my belly area) with massage cream. They helps to tone my skin, Collagen cream helps. They sure do. Our skin actually absorb what we apply on.  I also used Infrared ray device that I used everyday at home. It helps to generate new collagen in the skin.

After religiously massaging my problem areas (thigh and belly) with my massage cream and my infrared device, I saw improvement overall aka firmer skin.

In my next topic, I will write more about diet plan and recipe. I am not an expert in diet stuff but I do have lots of recipe which helps me through my diet's journey.
